This service is the real sword arm of the CLIN (Comité de lutte contre les Infections Nosocomiales - Nosocomial infection control committee) which defines actions to control the infectious risk linked to healthcare.
The hygiene service participates in the implementation of prevention action:
- Environmental risks
- Surgical site infections
- Hands hygiene
- Transmission des bactéries multirésistantes (BMR) - transmission of multidrug-resistant bacteria.
It also implements training, monitoring, information and evaluation actions in order to meet to indicators of the nosocomial infections overview, which has been compulsory in healthcare facilities since 2005.
The hygiene service works with all the services of the CHITS (clinical, medico-technical, technical and general services, guardianship) in order to continuously improve our control of the risk linked to care.
Dr. CHADAPAUD is the referring physician in the prescription of anti-infectives and in the field of infectio-vigilance.
Within each service there are medical and nursing correspondents who form a network that acts as a relay between the CLIN and the services and facilitates its prevention and surveillance actions.
