The Department
The internal Gynaecology-Obstetrics structure benefits on site from a high-performance medical-surgical technological environment (neonatology, biology, heavy imaging (CT scan, MRI), colour doppler ultrasound, nuclear medicine, multidisciplinary intensive care, genetics, general surgery, etc.)
It is composed of 2 services: Gynaecology and Maternity.
It is the only type II B maternity ward of the Var areas, the new Sainte Musse maternity ward has a unique and modern technical platform. These innovative performances, at the cutting edge of modern medicine, allow the management of high-risk pregnancies and the reception of parturient women presenting a simple/normal pregnancy.
Indeed, if relevant technical and medical means are deployed to best managed complex medical cases, an important place is reserved to support pregnancies and physiological deliveries, while maintaining optimal safety conditions.
The department consists of 2 units of 18 beds each. The 36 rooms are single, equipped with a private bathroom with a shower as well as a baby corner with changing table.
- The inpatient hospital ward for high-risk pregnancies, with 8 single rooms included in the gynaecological department.
- 2 birth follow-up services, with 6 rooms including neonatal surveillance equipment ("kanragoo" rooms).
